 oh, on a side note, and this might be easier to fix, I don't mind the high
 cpu usage/dropped frames in the EPG if I could actually control the EPG.
 At the moment keyboard commands take anywhere from 15-20 seconds to be
 recognized. If somehow we could force keyboard commands to be processed
 when dropping frames, that might fix my dilemma.
