 I've found a DVD that refuses to play, it was given away with the
 newspaper recently. After selecting "Play DVD"the screen goes black and 1
 second later it exists back to the menu. Playback log attached.

 The disks play back fine in kaffeine, the only thing which is noticably
 different about the DVD is that it starts with a still frame menu, all
 other DVDs I've ever tried have some sort of intro video before any menu.
 The DVD was a special pressing, so won't be available in the same format
 for rental.
