 I think this is related to using a configured GUI size to compensate for
 overscan. I had the GUI set to 1170x670 with a 30x30 offset (IIRC) and
 this freeze was fairly requent. I have now removed those settings (set
 them to zero) and I haven't had this freeze for a couple of days.
