 For the last few months the Channel scanner has been wiping the xmltvid,
 the channel icons, and resetting the visible and useonairguide columns
 among others. For a time, before this started to happen, it had the option
 to only update channels or only add new channels.

 It can take a long time to get these channels configured exactly how you
 want them, so having the scanner then wipe out all of that data isn't
 good.
