 It appears that the ticket was not updated with a fix for IVTV users.  As
 it turns out, this problem applies to the ivtv driver in that it has a
 continuous stream on program transition, where apparently DVB card types
 do not.  A fix that worked for me, as well as others is to change 1 line
 of code in /libs/libmythtv/tv_rec.cpp, line 1310 in current trunk, from:
 SwitchLiveTVRingBuffer(false, true); to
 SwitchLiveTVRingBuffer(true, true);
