 Some time ago I did a bit of a clean up of the freemheg code, replacing
 ASSERTs by error messages where appropriate.  This patch comprises those
 changes and also a minor bug fix to the font handling.  One thing I
 couldn't include in the patch: libs/libmythfreemheg/resource.h is
 redundant and could be removed.
