Comment:

 Sorry, if the ticket created any confusion.  I just reread it, and found I
 left off some of the more important information!  The description tends to
 lead the reader towards an X11 bug, however, without running Mythfrontend,
 DPMS works perfectly.  DPMS breaks only after MythTV is used to watch
 live-tv, and then returned to the menu (DPMS Disabled, and then Enabled
 via Mythfrontend).
