#2591: ivtc filter can cause stuttering

A week ago I started having stuttering problems on two channels:
DiscoveryHD and UniversalHD. Both of these channels are recorded via
firewire. For a while I thought I was having a problem with any program
recorded via firewire, but finally realized it was only those two
channels.
After racking my brain trying to think of anything that had changed in my
setup, I remembered adding ivtc to my custom filter list. I turned on
"playback" debugging, and sure enough, ivtc was being activated
inappropriately. After removing ivtc, the stuttering has gone away.
What is interesting about this, is that the stuttering may not usually
happen right away. It can take up to 10 minutes before it starts. Once
it starts, however, it does not go away.
I am attaching a "-v playback" log.
