 this ticket is to help me keep patches together for multi channel audio
 support.
 this includes analog out and reencoding AC3/DTS back to AC3 digital (no
 dts encoder) after timestretch.
 6 channel or stereo/dolby prologic encoded stereo support support is
 envisaged.
