Comment:

 Matt, Tomino, can you test the patch I just attached?

 I've put it through about 200 pause/unpause cycles here, but I've only
 rarely experienced this problem so I'm not the best tester. The patch
 basically expands on what Tomino did in the last patch and completely
 protects writes to video_actually_paused and gets rid of some busy wait
 loops to boot.
