Comment:

 (In [10936]) apply fixed-up left/right arrow patch from #2203, along with
 some minor code cleanup.  I don't really like the rest of the patch (next
 time, please submit different features in separate patches), so cleanup of
 that page can wait for a more comprehensive redesign, which is coming via
 summer of code.  closes #2203
