Comment:

 The PPC part of this is working fine. It gives me CPU-optimised builds by
 default, which isn't what packagers want, but they should be smart enough
 to remove the optimisation if needed.

 I haven't seen any discussion of X86 flags on the Wiki, so I will assume
 that everyone is happy for now.
