 In the Myth front end, go to

 Setup -> Tv Settings -> General -> (third page, General (Advanced)).

 there is an option called "number of seconds to start early" and one for
 late.  These are really really handy.  You can set every recording to
 record 10 minutes late.  However, if you are scheduling two prorams back-
 to-back, and need the tuner, it will cut off the first recoring on time,
 switch to the other program, and then finish the second one late.
