Comment:

 Unless I am misunderstandnig what you are saying, there is an option to
 specify where to start in the Watch Recordings screen.  You seem to be
 saying that it starts in the list of shows (on the left) rather than in
 the episode list for a specific show (or All Programs).  If this is the
 case, then you need to go to the third screen in the playback settings and
 un-check "Start in title section."
