Patch from Jim Westfall for the RingBuffer writes not to eat cpu when the capture card isn't sending data.
Mark Anderson's patch to 'fix audio' for dvb.  It's still a broken way of handling things.  But I'm applying this to stop the whining.
Fix the 'fix audio' patch, since it would crash after 5 or 6 channel changes and was leaking quite a bit of ram on each channel change.
Tweak xvmc a bit more - disable the osd fades unconditionally when not using software rendering.
