Comment:

 Do you still get this with today's changes?

 If so, could you produce matching front and back end logs, with '-v
 playback' and '-v record, channel, siparser' ?

 Also what kind of recorder are you using when this happens ? hdtv/dvb/pvr-
 x50/bttv ?

 Also, are you using XVideo or X11 or X11-shm ? If you don't know, it is
 probably XVideo.
