Log Message:

A VERBOSE macro for when compiling for release. It uses an ostringstream
to avoid deadlock when blocking calls are made within the args of a
verbose macro. It is noticeably slower, but it doesn't seem to interfere 
with playback at the default verbosity. -- dtk
